SANYA, China, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- The China Clean Energy Vehicle Championship 2018 (CEVC) will be held in Sanya from November 7 to 10. The contest will feature over 14 leading Chinese new-energy vehicle enterprises.
As market demand for new-energy vehicles grows rapidly in China, the CEVC aims to represent the true performance of mainstream Chinese electric cars to the public. New-energy vehicle brands will showcase 20 types of vehicle at the event.
The new-energy vehicle championship will consist of four competition categories, including a water-related safety competition, a long-distance driving competition around Hainan Province, a comprehensive functionality competition, and a race on a circular track.
The aim of the contest is not only to allow consumers to closely examine the performance of the best Chinese new-energy cars, but also to enable mainstream Chinese new-energy vehicle enterprises to compete. The CEVC is one of the most professional new-energy vehicle competitions in China.
The Competition is hosted by the municipal government of Sanya, China Automotive Technology Research Center, and the Federation of Automobile and Motorcycle Sports of China.
